Following investment of PLN 4,000,000 by Arkley Brinc Venture Capital, the company is going from strength to strength

‘Dr. PetCare sp. Z o.o.’ is the Polish company behind the ‘Country & Nature’ brand, offering a wide range of premium pet food products for dogs and cats, as well as nutritional supplements to ensure our furry friends stay in the best possible health. The company is led by Polish entrepreneur Mariusz Wojciechowski, known for his success with eHoliday, eFly.pl and Onet.pl. Previously, Dr. Petcare secured PLN 4 Million investment from Arkley Brinc – a venture capital fund co-created with PFR Ventures, Group One and the co-founder of Brinc. 

In Q1 2023, the well-known serial entrepreneur Amadeusz Król became a shareholder in Dr. Petcare. Mr Król not only has vast experience as an investor, but also is an active player in the pet industry. And it’s a great time to come on board; since launching in the Polish market, Dr. Petcare has consistently achieved quarter on quarter revenue growth, and is now set for the highest month of sales in the company’s history.

A Lawyer by education, Amadeusz Król’s business background is in media and marketing – but since 2013 he has been investing individually as a Business Angel. He also became a Partner in the Hedgehog Fund, combining a unique combination of investments on behalf of the individual and of the fund. He was co-founder of Petstar media group, which was publisher of the most popular content sites in Poland – psy.pl and koty.pl (as well as a printed magazine) – which were successfully sold in 2022. His past and current investments in other pet startups are PsiBufet (fresh dog food) and HiPets (a pet marketplace).

Mr Król enjoys converting his experience (both successes and failures) into involvement as a Business Angel and supporter of businesses at the early and mid-stage of growth. In the case of Dr.Petcare, his investment includes both capital as well as personal involvement in accelerating the growth of the company.

"Since I was a child we always had dogs or cats. Later our family business was publishing the no.1 pet magazine in Poland, and at 25 years old I founded the websites psy.pl and koty.pl. As years passed I started to look to invest in premium dog and cat food, so for me the journey with Dr. Petcare is like a dream becoming real. For me personally, it is also a privilege to work with Mariusz Wojciechowski, Founder of the company".

The unique formulas and recipes for ‘Country & Nature’ were developed with animal nutritionists and veterinarians, characterized by high quality ingredients that provide vitamin A, vitamin D3, vitamin E, iron, calcium, zinc, and magnesium. Now with a full range of flavours available in wet and dry food, Dr. Pet Care products are available online and offline, and can be found in over 700 stores throughout Poland.
